| A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIREFIGHTER! WINS 4-STARS FROM KIDS DOMAIN’S FAMILY RESOURCE! |
Kids Domain is a leading and critically acclaimed educational and entertainment destination for parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators and kids (5-14 years old) who are actively involved in the search for and use of appropriate, educational and entertaining content for kids.
Read their review below:
"This is perfect for your little one. This video has been a great learning tool in my home. All three of my children (ages 3, 13 & 15) have learned from this video. My 3 year old now realizes how dangerous a fire is and understands and practices the stop, drop and roll procedure. After watching the video my children and I sat down and drew up an escape plan for us to follow and posted it up on the wall. Now we have a plan if such incident should happen.
The scoop: What a great way to spend an hour or 2 with your children. I recommend this video to all families, especially those with young children. The characters and the bright colors will surely keep your kids watching and at the same time learning how to keep safe. - Reviewed by Gloria Quast" |

| AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION’S BOOKLIST REVIEWS WINK & BLINK'S ZOO DVD! |
For more than 90 years, Booklist magazine, published by the American Library Association, has been the librarian's leading choice for reviews of the latest books and (more recently) electronic media. Every year we review nearly 4,000 books for adults, more than 2,500 titles for children, more than 500 reference books and electronic reference tools, and 1,000 other audiovisual materials.
Read their review: PreSGr. 2. First introduced in Adventures of Wink & Blink: A Day in the Life of a Garbage Truck (2003), Wink and Blink (played by actors in costumes) return in this energetic live action program that introduces the inner-workings of the Santa Barbara Zoo. The program starts off a bit slowly, with an introduction and jokes from the titular characters. It then picks up speed when goofy Wink and Blink escort three enthusiastic kids to a magic theater where they watch short films about zoo life. The most intriguing segment shows how zookeepers prepare food for the hungry residents. Another interesting sequence discusses the staff veterinarian’s role. The DVD encourages audience participation by asking viewers to shout out the names of various animals that appear on screen. Colorful computer effects enhance the action, and in-your-face animal footage will delight youngsters. This fast-paced, joyful presentation captures the working environment of a zoo. Brian Wilson |

The Coalition for Quality Children’s Media is a national, not-for-profit organization founded in 1991, and the All-Star rating is their highest award, given to only the top ten-percent of products they review.
One Coalition Juror commented: “Liked the footage of the zoo animals. One two-year-old kept putting her hands on the floor and walking on all fours every time she saw the apes or monkeys saying they walk like this. Kids wanted to watch it again immediately and pointed out their favorite animals as reasons why.” |

Filmed at the Santa Barbara Zoo, the Los Angeles Zoo, and the San Diego Zoo, viewers are given a look behind the scenes at the work of the zoo keepers, including a glimpse into the kitchen while meals are prepared for a variety of animals.
